What is MiOpsAI's data retention policy?

MiOpsAI retains your data for the lifetime of your active account by default, with full configurability for shorter retention periods if your data policy requires it. On account cancellation, you have a 30-day grace period to export, after which data is purged from primary storage and removed from backups within 90 days.

Default retention behavior

• Active client records: retained indefinitely while the account is active
• Conversation history: retained indefinitely; supports historical client context for LizziAI
• Audit logs: retained indefinitely; minimum 90 days even with custom policies
• File attachments: retained indefinitely; counted against your storage quota
• Backups: rolling 90-day backup window for disaster recovery
• Deleted records: soft-deleted for 30 days (recoverable), then hard-deleted

Configurable retention

1. Per-record-type: configure separate retention for conversations, files, meeting transcripts, etc.
2. Auto-archive: records older than your threshold move to cold storage (still searchable, slower access)
3. Auto-purge: records older than your threshold are permanently deleted
4. Per-client overrides: enterprise clients with regulatory needs can have different retention than the default
5. Hold flags: legal holds prevent deletion regardless of policy

What happens when you cancel

On cancellation:

1. Day 1-30: account moves to read-only state, full export available, no charges incurred
2. Day 31: primary data purged from active systems
3. Day 31-90: data remains in encrypted backups for disaster recovery rollover only
4. Day 91: backup rotation completes; no MiOpsAI system contains your data anywhere

You can request immediate deletion at cancellation if you want to skip the grace period (useful if you've already exported and want to certify deletion immediately for compliance reasons).

Compliance considerations

For regulated industries, we can document our retention practices in a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and provide certificates of deletion on request. We do not have a sub-processor that retains your data after our primary deletion; backup retention is fully within our control.

What about LizziAI's learned context
