Does MiOpsAI integrate with my EHR system?

MiOpsAI is designed to work alongside any EHR without pulling PHI across the boundary. We do not do a clinical data integration in the SMART on FHIR sense, because that would require handling PHI, which we deliberately do not do.

What we do integrate is the operational surface: webhook or email notifications the EHR sends when appointments are booked, forms are completed, or portal messages arrive; calendar-level scheduling metadata (times and slot types, not visit content); and outbound triggers where MiOpsAI drops a portal invite link into a patient email. Most modern EHRs support these operational hooks natively. For older systems we fall back to email-based notifications, which every EHR sends.

Practically this means your team logs into two systems, not one: the EHR for anything clinical, and MiOpsAI for everything operational. LizziAI knows when to hand off to the EHR and drafts the language for that handoff. When your EHR sends a notification (new portal message, form completion, appointment change), MiOpsAI can update the operational record and trigger the next step in the workflow.

Deep bidirectional integration with specific EHR platforms is on the 2026 roadmap for the top five family practice systems, and we scope those as separate engagements when the operational value warrants the compliance overhead. For most practices, the loose operational coupling is enough, because the real bottleneck is not EHR data flow, it is the twelve non-EHR tools your team also has to keep in their head.
