Dispatch

Do I need to warm up my domain before sending with Dispatch?

Whether you need to warm up your domain depends on your sending history. Domain warmup is a best practice for brand-new domains that have no prior sending history, because email providers monitor how quickly a new domain ramps up its email volume. If you are migrating to Dispatch from Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, or another platform, and your domain is already established with years of sending history, you generally keep your existing sender reputation and can send at normal volumes right away without any warmup period. However, if you are using a completely new domain that has never sent email before, many email providers recommend gradually increasing your send volume over a week or two. This gradual ramp helps mailbox providers recognize you as a legitimate sender instead of flagging you as spam. The good news is that Dispatch gives you full visibility into how your domain is performing. After each campaign, you can review your bounce numbers (both hard and soft bounces), open rates, click rates, and engagement metrics in your analytics dashboard. If you notice bounce rates creeping up, that is a signal to slow your sending pace and focus on list quality. If your domain has an established history, you will likely see excellent deliverability from your very first send. Talk to our team if you want personalized guidance based on your specific domain history and sending volume.
